Anquet Map Prices Explained
Anquet map prices are firmly based around charging for exactly the
mapping contained within a product. All map prices are determined
first by the map type (e.g. OS 1:25,000 Explorer series or A to Z)
and then by area of land coverage in square kilometres. The results
we believe arekeen fair prices for all of our users on all of our
products. Whether you wish to purchase pre-defined products or
define a map yourself, the pricing will be exactly the same.
Disks and Favourite Bundles
A predefined product contains mapping for predefined areas. For
example it may be the Lake District in OS 125:000 Explorer series
mapping or London in A to Z mapping. As just about all predefined
products contain different amounts of mapping, this does result in
the products within a series having different prices. For instance
our OS 1:50,000 Regional series now range in price from £10 to
£14.89 because the areas range from 18,395 sq km to 28,951 sq km.
There are over 1,000 predefined products to choose from. You
can see the full range of predefined products here listed by
series.
Download Price and Disk Price
For each product you will see 2 prices: the "download price" and
the "disk price". The download price is the price to download the
map directly to your computer. The disk price is the price to have
the map product provided on disk. It is more expensive to have your
map products provided on disk because there is a cost to producing
the disk and sending it to you. Please see below.
Maps on Disk
If you have a slower internet connection, are buying a gift or
just prefer a physical product you can buy predefined areas of
mapping on disk. We create all our disks to order rather than in
bulk because it's less wasteful and ensures our customers always
get thelatest map data and softwarefrom our ever expanding
catalogue of product. We charge an additional £5 per disk for disk
production plus postage and packaging. Most predefined maps areas
fit onto one disk so typically it cost £5 extra plus postage and
packaging to have your predefined product sent to you on disk.
Cut Your Own
You don't have to stick to our predefined map areas. If you
prefer, you can cut your own map. The prices per square kilometre
are the same as with the predefined maps but cutting your own means
you buy exactly the mapping you need so it can be better value.
Volume Discounts
Whether you define your own map or buy a predefined product, the
prices per square kilometre of mapping reduce for larger areas. In
other words, bigger areas of mapping are comparatively better value
for money.
