Harvey 1:25,000 Super Scale
33 years ago, frustrated with general purpose maps, Susan and
Robin Harvey created the first Harvey map, specifically for
navigating in wilder areas.Wonderful as OS maps are, they are 'made
for everywhere' multi-purpose maps. Harvey maps are different. They
are no-compromise, 'made for the mountain' maps.
Often described as the 'true navigator's map', their appeal lies
in their supreme clarity, careful use of colour (remember those
lovely old Bartholomew ½" maps?) and of course, their
accuracy.
Mention Harvey maps in any hill walker's pub and it's bound to
spark a Marmite-style, love 'em or hate 'em debate. After all, maps
are as much art as they are science and, until you try a Harvey
map, you won't know which side you are on. For the record, we're
firmly on the love 'em side of the argument. We'll let you make
