The Expert's Expert

Who do the SAS turn to when they need training on navigation? The answer is Lyle Brotherton of course. Lyle is a worldwide authority on navigation techniques. He's trained search & rescue teams and Special Forces in over 20 countries and naturally enough, he's a big fan of Anquet too.

Probably The Best Navigation Book Ever Written

Lyle's brand new book, The Ultimate Navigation Manual is must read, for beginners and expert navigators alike.

Welcome to Our New Website

New Site Screen

As well as a fresh look, our new website has all-new inner workings and lives on faster servers.

We hope you find it faster, easier-to-use and perhaps even a little prettier.

The new site is easy to maintain, a big advantage because we can spend more time delivering some of the other things you have told us you'd like to see from Anquet.

Please do take a look around and if you have any comments or feedback, we'd love to hear from you.

Important Changes for Schools and Groups

If you need Anquet maps for your school or youth group, you should buy them now. Not only are all OS maps currently half price but also the OS has announced it will soon be scrapping the scheme which allows schools and youth groups to install their regular Anquet OS maps on 35 computers at no extra cost.

Over the years the scheme has provided affordable access for thousands of children and we were very sad to learn that the OS have decided to end it.

But the scheme has not ended yet! So if you buy your maps now, you'll still be able to install them on 35 computers and keep them forever. Likewise, any maps previously purchased under the scheme will not be affected.

Do you have maps that need updating? Could you use maps for other areas? Have you been meaning to take advantage of the scheme but not got round to it? If you possibly can, get the maps you need now. Otherwise you may find you need to buy separate maps for each computer.

If you would like to register for the scheme before it ends, click here.

This latest release lets customers take advantage of today's fast Internet connections and download detailed mapping, which can be large files, very quickly. The new technology also builds capacity into the MapServer so, as the range of available maps expands and the popularity of downloading maps continues to grow, the speed and robustness of the service will remain high.
